These are good songs. Most of which are from the last decade. You’ve probably heard of every single one. If not, check it out. I bet you’ll like. (continue reading…)

Grammar Nazi.

I know we all have done it before. I did it. I won’t lie. Back in the day when AIM was the shit, I got lazy and didn’t want to type out the complete word. I actually think I did it more to fit in than anything else. Those were the days.
I was never too harsh with it though. I’d throw in a “u” instead of “you” or a “c” instead of see. “o” instead of “oh” and stuff like that. “ASL” was a biggie. (Age/Sex/Location. Used by those too lazy to figure this out through regular conversation.)
I also used lol a lot. I still do that though. Sue me, lol.
Anyway after a year or so I started to realize the importance of sounding somewhat competent. I started spelling everything correctly and even adding in punctuation. I have since come to the conclusion that kids are not coming to the same conclusion as I once did. I visit chat rooms for the hell of it every once and a while and I feel like an old man. I pride myself in being able to read the most retarded l33tspeak stuff there is. The problem is that the intentional typos and abbreviations are becoming so retarded that I can hardly keep up. The abbreviations I used as a kid growing up are being abbreviated even more. I have to read the sentences slower than usual to visually decipher what half the words are. I read pretty fast, and this irritates the hell out of me.
I have since heard of a website called Omegle that matches you up with a random person, all while keeping the identities secret. I am really bored so I decide to chat with strangers all night until I find someone who doesn’t use a retarded abbreviation for a good minute or two. I don’t have class tomorrow, and I fear this is a good thing.
Let the experiment begin.
